Project Manager
Roles and Responsibilities Health & Safety (H&S): Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS): Oversee the creation and initial review of RAMS, ensuring they meet safety standards. Conduct quarterly reviews of RAMS to ensure they remain updated and relevant throughout the project lifecycle. H&S Reviews with SOCOTEC/Project Management (PM): Participate in SOCOTEC and PM monthly H&S reviews, with fortnightly meetings alternating between both stakeholders to ensure continuous health and safety compliance. Friday Packs: Prepare and distribute comprehensive H&S Friday packs, including updates, reminders, and actionable tasks for the team. Accident Book Reports: Manage the Accident Book, logging any incidents and ensuring all reports are thorough, timely, and in compliance with legal requirements. PPE Ordering and Enforcement: Ensure all workers have the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce PPE use on site through regular checks and monitoring. Time Management: Programme Updates: Regularly update and maintain the project programme to reflect the latest activities, milestones, and any adjustments required. Subcontractor Coordination: Coordinate all subcontractors to ensure they are working to the programme schedule and delivering their work in a timely manner. Material Call-Offs: Manage material call-offs in alignment with the project schedule, ensuring materials are available on site when required. Weekly Progress Reports: Compile and distribute weekly progress reports that summarize the current status of the project, key accomplishments, and upcoming tasks. Quality Assurance: Weekly Progress Reports: Monitor and document site progress, ensuring that construction activities meet the required quality standards. Snagging Lists: Conduct and manage snagging inspections, ensuring all defects or outstanding work are identified and rectified promptly. Handover Forms & Practical Completion Certification: Prepare and manage all documentation required for the handover phase, including practical completion certificates, ensuring smooth project handover. Communications: Request for Information (RFI) Management: Act as the primary point of contact for RFIs, ensuring all queries are logged, tracked, and responded to efficiently. Client Meetings and DABS Attendance: Attend and represent the project in client meetings, ensuring the project team is updated and action items are addressed. Ensure attendance at Daily Briefing Sessions (DABS) and provide project updates and critical information to relevant stakeholders. Commercial Responsibilities: . Monthly Valuations & Variations: Assist the commercial team in preparing monthly valuations and documenting variations, ensuring that all financial aspects of the project are properly tracked. Logistics & Deliveries: Booking Deliveries into Site: Manage and schedule deliveries into the site, coordinating with suppliers to ensure smooth entry and offloading of materials. Delivery Coordination and Information Sharing: Share delivery pro-forma details with suppliers (site address, contacts, maps, etc.) and request necessary booking information such as FORS certifications and delivery times. High-Risk Delivery Inspections: Visit sites and storage facilities to inspect high-risk deliveries, ensuring quality and compliance with specifications. Document inspections with signage, photos, and records to verify the delivery status for quality assurance.
