What will you be doing?


As the Senior External Gardening Manager, you will lead the strategic development of the external gardening department, driving sales, profitability, and sustainability. You'll manage product sourcing, pricing, promotions, and ensure the department stays competitive. Overseeing daily operations, you will maintain high retail standards, develop your team, and ensure the grounds are well-maintained and customer-ready.






Where will you be doing it?

Our client is an independent garden centre dedicated to providing customers with a wide range of high-quality plants, gardening supplies, and expert advice. You'll oversee and develop the external gardening and grounds department, working closely with the Operations Director, Department Managers, and your team to ensure the department meets its goals and maintains high standards.

You

You are an experienced and driven manager with a passion for gardening and sustainability. Horticultural experience is necessary for this role.

You excel at leading teams, developing strategies, and managing complex operations. You thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and have a proven track record of improving sales, driving innovation, and keeping ahead of competitors.

You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable working closely with different departments, attending industry events, and continuously developing your team.
