Senior Gardener/ Assistant Head Gardener

A fantastic opportunity to join a friendly team transforming a stunning 40-acre private estate with 4/5 acres of gardens near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire into one of the best private gardens in the country.

The Ideal Candidate Experience

• General garden maintenance and management of all plants
• Experience with growing fruit, herbs and vegetables is essential 
• Sound horticultural knowledge
• Seasonal bulb planting
• Pruning of shrubs, roses, top & soft fruit
• Mowing, strimming and hedge trimming
• Tree maintenance 
• Assisting with greenhouse management & maintenance 
• Assisting with irrigation, water features & swimming pool
• Weed & pest control through organic means where possible
• Assisting with composting
• Assisting with lawn cutting, aeration, fertilising, edging, verticutting & scarifying
• Other estate duties are likely to include maintenance of gravel paths, garden sculptures, garden furniture, tennis court & assisting with maintenance of all garden machinery
• PA1/PA6 spraying certificate desirable
• NVQ3/RHS horticulture qualification desirable
