PARKS, OPENS SPACES & PLAYGROUND / PARK INSPECTOR
Full-time
£26,421 - £28,770
Hours: 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday.
Do you enjoy working outdoors in multiple locations to ensure that playgrounds and parks are maintained to an excellent standard providing a safe active space for users, then we have an opening for you within our grounds maintenance team which forms part of our Streetscene service.
The service plays a significant role in delivering two of the Council’s corporate priorities; making Gosport a cleaner and greener place to live and providing great facilities for play, sports and leisure. You need to be a registered playground inspector and have experience of completing inspections to EN1176 and EN1177 standards, be physically fit and hold a clean driving licence. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to engage with all stakeholders as is the ability to work both alone and as part of a wider team.
Gosport Borough is on the beautiful south coast, boasting a magnificent heritage thanks to centuries of links with the Royal Navy. Its unique waterfront attractions and history give it a special character, and it benefits from 25 miles of coastline, including the sailing hub of Portsmouth Harbour and beaches at Stokes Bay and Lee-on-the-Solent.
