Senior Gardener

We are seeking an experienced motivated senior gardner for our beautiful organic, wildlife friendly garden and estate in Nth Oxfordshire.The successful applicant would be part of a small team but they will have sole responsibility for the  vegetable, soft fruit growing and the ornamental borders but also work with the team on projects in the wider estate when necessary.

The property comprises; Ornamental flower borders, small vegetable and soft fruit garden, mature orchard, 18 acre wildflower meadow( 20 years in the developing), lake, 20 acres fallow pasture, small Apiary.

We work using organic principles and always consider the impact on wildlife while working.... trying to balance design, aesthetics and nature!

Essential criteria; Comprehensive knowledge/ experience in organic vegetable growing and ornamental border management. Good knowledge in the use and maintenance of machinery and tools.Be physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all seasons. An interest ecology/wildlife... nature.

On completion of a three month probationary period we are offering a full-time permanent position with competitive salary and accommodation if required .
