Ideally the candidate will have strong horticultural knowledge including trees, preferably RHS Level 2/National Diploma or above. Excellent communication, phone, IT and admin skills with attention to detail, be very good at follow up, and dedicated to serving customers on the nursery, whatever the weather. Responsibilities and Duties

You will be working 5 days per week, scheduled over a 6-day week, Monday to Saturday, working every other Saturday. Whilst this position in largely nursery based, you will be willing to travel for industry events where you will network with both old and potential new customers, be on the team when we exhibit at both RHS and industry shows even when it means extra days and overtime, and as required, site visits to potential projects.

You will be expected to generate new leads and develop great customer relations creating profitable sales opportunities, both with existing and new customers. We are especially interested in you if you have great social media skills to assist and drive our Instagram, Twitter/X and Facebook presence, and/or marketing experience.

Personal Qualities:  You must be an excellent team player who has a positive, can-do attitude, is logical, great IT skills and very good at paperwork, organised and personable. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly motivated, reliable, have initiative and an excellent work ethic and be willing to learn.

A proven sales track record, preferably within the landscape or nursery industry, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets, in a fast paced, high-energy environment striving for excellence in all that we do.

Experience: Candidates with a horticultural college education to HND/BSc is invaluable, but some of our seven-person team have simply worked in horticulture, landscaping, or even better have planted trees professionally, often doing their RHS Level 2 Horticulture qualification to get a good grounding. Naturally, you need to be willing to learn on your own time and have the right aptitude, though we will be willing to pay for these courses.
