Kitchen Gardener required in Oxfordshire

An enthusiastic Kitchen Gardener is sought to manage a walled kitchen garden set within the grounds of a large Cotswold estate.

The walled garden has been undergoing continued development over the past few years.  The outgoing gardener has created a strong foundation to the garden which will now need to be enhanced further by the new candidate.

The garden is managed organically and seeks to be converted to organic status within the near future.

The main responsibilities of this position will involve providing seasonal fruit and vegetables for the family, managing and developing the walled garden. Working closely with,  and reporting to the Head Gardener to ensure projects are completed successfully, and that all areas of the garden are managed to a high standard.

This position will also require working closely with the Head Chef who will be able to assist on produce selection and meeting the requirements of the family.

This position will require a person who is self motivated, able to work collaboratively with the estate team, with strong time management and timekeeping skills.

Working hours are Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm. Some flexibility will be required in this position due to seasonal requirements.
