Are you passionate about horticulture and ready to lead a dedicated team in maintaining the 66 acres of stunning grounds at the Royal Hospital Chelsea? If so, look no further, because we are seeking a Deputy Grounds & Gardens Manager to join our team.
In this vital role, you'll work closely with the Head of Grounds & Gardens to ensure the smooth operation of our extensive grounds. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and motivating a skilled team of horticultural staff.
- Managing the use and maintenance of various horticultural machinery.
- Conducting health and safety checks, risk assessments, and machinery inspections.
- Overseeing tasks such as mowing, pruning, planting, and weeding.
- Liaising with contractors, external agencies, and stakeholders.
- Managing the Glasshouse operations and stock levels of horticultural items
