Full-time Assistant Gardener

Private Estate in the Watlington area requires a hardworking and trustworthy individual to work under the direction of the Head Gardener. 

The Estate is looking for someone  with commitment, enthusiasm and a passion for gardening.  All-round general gardening knowledge is essential.  The work will be varied.  Experience of working in a similar environment is advantageous. 

Candidates must be self-motivated with a can-do attitude and able to work alone or as part of a team.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Hedge cutting
  • Seasonal pruning and planting
  • Mulching
  • Leaf clearing
  • Lawn mowing and border edging
  • Watering (occasional weekends if necessary)
  • Planting of annuals and bulbs
  • Assist in the control of weeds, pests and diseases
  • Assist looking after all tools and keeping sheds/workplace tidy
  • Beneficial skills include vegetable, fruit and flower production with opportunities to have continued learning

References required. Salary negotiable depending on experience.
