£35,000 - £40,000 a year (dependent on experience etc.)

We seek an experienced landscape Site Supervisor to manage the day-to-day on-site construction and administration of landscape projects ranging from £30,000 to £1m+ in London and the Home Counties. With the position leading to the opportunity to progress through to contracts manager.

Our Site Supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day operations on site (mainly soft-landscaping), running multiple sites simultaneously and form a link between the Construction Managers and the on-site teams. In addition to ensuring adherence to the company's Health and Safety and Environmental standards, Site Supervisors are encouraged to assist the Construction Managers in the compilation and modification of the project programmes, resourcing, procurement plan, monthly variations and the change order process.
Day-to-day administrative activities include collating site paperwork (delivery notes etc), checking deliveries against orders, completing daily site diaries, attending daily site briefings, undertaking H&S checks, ensuring that project works are clean, protected and that there is no damage to site works by others.
More complex activities include the supervision of the site works to ensure that they are executed to the required tolerances and the supervision of the setting-out of works from plans.

Requirements:
Candidates should be experienced and skilled landscapers, with SSSTS (with training to gain SMSTS) qualifications and plant tickets. NVQ 4 an advantage, if not training will be provided.

Their experience should have led them to a good all-round understanding of the engineering principles necessary to the high-quality execution of works on site, with a minimal risk to the longevity of the works.

A basic computer literacy skill and having the ability to use Viewpoint Field View would be a distinct advantage.
You should be able to liaise with the Design Team and Clients in a professional and fluent manner, both on technical and non-project-related topics.
In addition, candidates should have a keen eye for detail and a very positive work ethic and ability to motivate their teams to excel.
