Estate Gardener (32 hours pw)

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic estate gardener to join our small friendly team on a private Warwickshire estate to assist the head gardener and groundsman.

The position is a working hands-on role, it is essential the candidate has a positive attitude, is self-motivated to work individually and happy to work in a team environment.

The role will be varied so candidates should be flexible and comfortable to perform both horticultural tasks and general estate maintenance. Ideally a minimum of three years experience working in a similar position. Some horticultural training would be preferred, but a positive attitude to work, training and gaining experience would be considered.

Responsibilities to include:

• All aspects of horticulture, general and specialised.
• Proficiency in plant propagation.
• Lawn care maintenance.
• Pruning, training and maintenance of trees and shrubs.
• General maintenance including, hedges, fences, paths, weeding, mulching.
• Maintenance of water features and irrigation systems.
• Occasional stock assistance, moving and handling sheep.
• Safe operation of garden machinery.

A full clean driving licence and own transport are preferred due to location (Shipston on Stour area).
