The Alnwick Garden is excited to promote the opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Head Gardener to establish The Garden as a go to destination for horticulturalists and families alike.

This role involves the management of a passionate team of gardeners to maintain and develop all areas of The Alnwick Garden including the Ornamental Garden, Tai Haku Cherry Orchard and award winning Rose Garden. The role will also oversee all horticultural elements of Lilidorei, a magical village where imagination and play take precedence over screens and electronics.

The abilities to lead a team, communicate effectively and work with fellow members of The Alnwick Garden leadership and are essential to this role and proven experience in these areas will be required.

The role will be hands on with elements of strategic planning and budget management. The successful candidate will have a wide range of knowledge and skills relating to all elements of horticulture and the ability to pass these skills on to develop and upskill their team.

Starting Salary

£45,000 - £55,000
