Airfield is a 38-acre working educational urban farm and gardens located in Dublin, Ireland. As one of Dublin’s leading visitor attractions, we welcome local, national and international visitors throughout the year. We provide a wide range of programmes and activities that aim to promote an understanding of agriculture, horticulture and the link between farming and food production.
The Head of Sustainable Food Production will be involved in delivering Airfields vision to be a leading voice in food sustainability. They will ensure there is a cohesive synergy between the Food Production Garden, Farm, Culinary Team, Education and events Team in the delivery of a 100% authentic ‘soil to fork’ programme for visitors, partners and influencers
This position manages and ensures the effectiveness of all day-to day operations of food production in the organic garden and regenerative farm at Airfield and provides support for our education and research activities.
He/she/they will provide dynamic leadership, drive innovation to create;
- a sustainable, full circle, food production system
- a world renowned showcase of both organic and regenerative horticulture and agriculture in Ireland
- An accessible, thought provoking and interactive experience for visitors to the estate
