About our client

This client is a family-run modern Garden Centre based in Yorkshire; they are a relatively new business and are already turning over multimillions. They are now looking to further increase turnover and profitability and require the support of a Store Manager to help deliver those aims.

About the job

Reporting to the Directors you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of all retail operations. You will head up and direct several departments, demonstrating strong commercial acumen, with the experience to lead from the front, you will have a sharp eye for detail and continue to maintain our exacting standards.

As well as overseeing the constantly changing daily demands of the Centre, a key focus of the role will be to drive and manage sales, EPOS analytical skills will be essential, as well as proven experience in big space retailing. You will need to be an excellent motivator, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience with managing Managers will be essential. You will thrive on the 'people aspect' of the job and recognise that a successful Store manager needs to be approachable and visible.

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will need to demonstrate previous Store manager experience in a similar multi-department environment, in a comparable, high-quality retail operation. They will also need to be flexible, able to work alternate weekends and some evenings as required by the business.
