Are you an experienced retail manager looking for a different challenge?

About our client

Our client is a family award-winning garden centre group passionate about delivering outstanding home-grown products and excellent service to our community. They have expanded to having three centres now in Yorkshire, they are now looking to help grow the retail side of the centres.

About the job

They have a great opportunity for a store manager to join our award-winning flagship store. Reporting to the Directors, you will take control of the day-to-day running of all retail operations. You will lead and direct several departments, improving retail standards, monitoring sales and driving the team to achieve store targets.

As well as overseeing the daily management of the store, experience in large format store management is vital for our business to continue to expand and "grow", although a background in garden centre retail is not essential you will need to have an understanding of the business peak and off-peak seasons.

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will be forward-thinking with a hands-on approach when it comes to retail. As you will be managing a number of people, leadership skills and the ability to motivate while also developing the team going forward. Make sure the store runs to the current health and safety legislation as well as all other guidelines.
