About the job

As Plant Area Team Leader you will be reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will be assisting the Plant Manager in day-to-day tasks as well as helping them oversee the team below yourself. You will also need to be prepared to run the Plant Area when the Manager is off so Management skills are needed. In this role, your customer service also needs to be second to none as you will be on hand to assist all customers.



Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will preferably come from a Garden Centre retail background with a creative and entrepreneurial side to them. You will also have an understanding of how plants need to be looked after as you will be overseeing this whole procedure while also offering advice to your customers. You will need to be comfortable in team management as you will be managing a small team below you that will be helping you drive sales and profitability in assistance to the Plant Area Manager.
