Are you looking for a great job opportunity in farm health & safety? The University of Reading is looking for someone with farming, horticulture, grounds maintenance or similar experience and a commitment to good H&S in farming and research. In this interesting role you will support the University’s commercial farm team and on-farm researchers. You will also support campus-based grounds maintenance staff and academic fieldwork projects. You will develop standards, provide practical advice, and constructively investigate concerns and incidents. The post also contributes to the H&S training and audit programmes and the general work of the Health and Safety Services team.

You will have:

  • Relevant practical experience working in a farm or similar outdoor environment
  • A commitment to good health & safety in farming and grounds maintenance
  • The ability and motivation to engage positively with a wide range of workers
