About Our Client

Our client was established in the 1960s and has grown to become one of the leading suppliers to the British landscaping industry. Our client is passionate about plants, curating quality plant ranges and promoting them through engaging content on their domestic facing Web Shop and social media channels. Due to business growth and expansion into new markets, they are looking for an experienced horticultural specalist to give guidance and direction by curating a strong and successful range of offer through their multi-channel marketing platforms and further marketing opportunities.

About the Role

In this role, you will agree on revenue targets with the Sales and Marketing Director and will be specifically accountable for developing a team that is accountable and working in line with the company vision. In addition, you will continuously appraise the business strategy and challenge the team to deliver against all revenue streams and budgets. You will also deliver good leadership and communication to the team to help motivate them to achieve their individual and collective targets, and provide training and mentoring to the team to help develop and strengthen their positions.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who can work under pressure to multiple fixed deadlines in tandem. They will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, being able to communicate at all levels of the business. In addition, they will posses horticultural knowledge and have previously worked as a garden centre buyer.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have a broad range of plant knowledge. You will also need a good understanding and knowledge of E-Commerce.
