Area Sales Manager | Horticulture | North East / Yorkshire Salary - basic + commission - dependent on experience and success About the Company:-
We are working with a really successful and highly sought after horticultural business. They are dealing with a range of different sized horticultural growers in the North East. Due to an upcoming retirement, they are now looking for someone to take over this area for the business. You will have a lot of autonomy to manage your area in a way that you see fit and that will deliver the best results to the business. About the Role:-
You will manage a large area and ensure that the growers in the area are aware of the company and the flexibility they have.
You will be working in very close contact with the Commercial Director who will ensure you have all the support you need to perform well.
You will have a range of existing relationships to manage but you will also be tasked with winning new business as well. The Ideal Candidate:-
The business is very open minded on the experience you bring. They want you to have a good knowledge of horticultural growing. This could be because you have been a grower for a number of years or because you have dealt with them in a sales capacity previously. As a result area sales is not crucial as it is more important to have a good understanding of the sector with the drive to learn something new. Clear and effective communication is essential, especially being based in your own area, far from the Head Office. Crucial for the business to understand what you have done, but also for you to know you have the support you need. This is a home-based role but you will need to be able to travel around regularly.
