Join the Didcot Outdoor Services Team

Permanent position to start as soon as possible.  Great package of benefits including Local Government Pension Scheme and 26 days holiday per year.

You could join our crew of busy grounds maintenance professionals! Didcot Town Council is looking for local people who love Didcot. You will have a positive attitude and experience in some the following:

  • Litter picking
  • Pitch marking and setting out
  • Grass cutting including the use of ride-on mowers, tractors and a range of garden machinery.

We are also interested in people with experience in playground repairs and inspections. A spraying certificate (Pa1 and 6) would be an advantage. Training  provided for the right people to compliment a full-time team of six.  Punctuality, team working and the ability to work alone are a must. The successful professional will be friendly, polite and enjoy working with residents; Town Councillors and other Town Council staff.  

The ideal candidate must hold a current UK driving licence with no more than 3 points and be able to drive vehicles up to 3.5 ton.

The vacancy is full-time (37 hours) Monday to Thursday 08.00 - 16.00 hours & Friday 08.00 - 15.30 hours.

Occasional overtime may be available and paid at an enhanced rate.

Didcot Town Council is a local council providing a range of services including the maintenance of parks, open spaces, woodland and the Ladygrove Lakes – for the benefit of the people of Didcot.
