Gardener Job in Aberdeen

We are looking for a hands on Gardener to join a highly skilled and motivated team who are dedicated to delivering a high standard to a lovely family estate in Aberdeen. This beautiful 500 acre estate is currently undergoing development and you will be part of a very exciting and varied project. The estate comprises of a beautiful Walled Garden, Tropical house, Arboretum, Water Features, Hard and Soft Landscaping.

This is a Full time or Part time opportunity for selected candidates and the current Gardening team are very welcoming and friendly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Gardening duties including; planting, weeding, edging, mowing, mulching, leaf clearing, and watering

Grounds and Garden Maintenance

We have a herd of highland cows which require handling at times with the team.

We have a recently restored a tropical house which requires daily checks.

We have areas of forestry that we are increasing every autumn and winter along with the forestry duties we keep a good stock of wood for biomass.  

Experience working in private households and estates would be great. Horticultural qualifications are a bonus but not essential. The ideal candidate will have a positive, ‘can do’ attitude, be adaptable, and have excellent communication skills. You will be happy to work on your own and take initiative, as well as working within a team.

Annual leave is 28 days,  An enhanced DBS will be required

A full clean driving licence is essential.

Working week; 5 Days / Week.

 Start Date; ASAP

Salary;  Negotiable with company pension
