Green Flag Award Support Officer
Salary: £30,727 per annum
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term Contract – up to August 2023 with potential to extend/make permanent
Location: Remote based in England with frequent travel throughout England
Keep Britain Tidy is an iconic and dynamic charity, providing first-class solutions to environmental challenges. For more than 60 years, we have campaigned for cleaner, greener places and delivered programmes supporting organisations and individuals to improve the places where they live. For over 10 years we have delivered the Green Flag Award, the international standard for parks and green spaces aimed at ensuring everyone has access to a quality green space.
We are looking for a passionate and inspiring individual to join our Accreditation Team to provide support to potential applicants and our team of Green Flag Award judges, by providing mentoring and advice and ensuring we provide the resources to help them succeed
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven mentoring skills, supporting both individuals and organisations
- The ability to communicate and build relationships with local authorities
- Experience of assessing parks and green spaces against the Green Flag Award standard and providing advice based on the outcome
- The ability to identify good practice, create case studies, and share with the sector
- Experience of managing small teams to deliver specific projects
