Are you a Junior Grower or Assistant Farm / grower manager who has experience in growing Fresh Produce and managing small teams? If so, we want to hear from you.

Our client

Our client is a leading supplier of fresh produce to major retailers in the UK. Due to growth within the business they're looking for an Assistant Grower Manager to assist in the growing, harvesting and maintenance operations whilst following company guidelines.

The role

You will perform and instruct general farm duties, these may be water management, bed cleaning, planting, fertiliser application, harvesting, general farm Husbandry. You will complete any paperwork that is required for the day-to-day needs of the farm. You will assist in implementing any new production methods which aim to improve the efficiency of the farm. You will lead a team of between 3-5 people so previous man-management is required.

The Candidate

You will need to have past farming experience and have worked on farm before. You will need to have managed small teams and preferably have your PA1 / PA6 spray certs. The ideal candidate would be someone who has the desire to learn all aspects of growing a crop and wanting to progress with their career.
