Our aim is to provide beautiful, diverse and sustainable parks, lakes, woods and landscapes that will be loved by the people of Milton Keynes, forever.

The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic person who already has some experience in land management to join our operations management team.  There is potential for quick progression within the operations team for the right candidate.   You will help manage 6,000 acres of open space that includes; plantations, woodlands, individual street and parkland trees, grasslands, farmed land, shrub beds and general landscape, while helping manage both contractors and Direct works team, who are working out on site.

About You

The successful candidate will check and initiate works/projects while helping develop the landscape. You should have some experience in supervising site gangs, and ideally managing trees and/or woodlands, while demonstrating and understanding associated hard works.  You will need to be tenacious and questioning, when trying to obtain a high quality of land management and maintenance  .

This post will suit someone who has good communication skills and enjoys working in a team but can also work on their own initiative.  Apart from having experience of land management (ideally with tree management), you should also have a relevant land management-based qualification
