About our Client

Crowders are a 7th generation family business that specialises in growing hardy ornamental nursery stock to industry professionals across the UK and Europe. They have been established for over 200 years and grow over 3 sites on over 330 acres. Crowders grow over 4 million plants a year to HTA standards and are also BALI members. They pride themselves in growing from UK seed where possible.



About the Role

This vital role will see you sit on the board of directors within this quickly growing business. You will be responsible for developing and motivating the team around you, whilst ensuring high-quality stock is being continually grown and dispatched. You will be working closely with the team around you to create sales opportunities and nursery growth plans and implement them accordingly.



The Ideal Candidate

This role is ideal for a forward-thinking and enthusiastic candidate who understands growing hardy ornamental nursery stock. Ideally, you will hold a high-level qualification in Horticulture. You will have previously worked in a senior management position and be looking to take the next step up in your career. The ability to communicate is essential, as you will be working closely with a team, developing working relationships and supporting the overall running of the business.
