Buying Co-ordinator | Hardware | Preston

About the Company:-
We are working with a long established and highly regarded business who have 2 arms to their offering both involved in Horticultural supply. This role would be working within their distribution arm where they supply a range of products to various commercial growers and professionals.

About the Role:-
As the Buying Co-ordinator, you will be working closely with the broader buying team to help manage the movement of the goods they have procured. You will be liaising with Suppliers ensuring that any new products are set up properly and that any changes are communicated internally. You will be managing a lot of movement from Europe to the UK as well, so understanding the new challenges after Brexit would be an advantage. You will be working closely with the Sales team as well to understand their forecasts and ensure the business is well stocked to meet upcoming demand.

The Ideal Candidate:-
You will have a background in Procurement Admin and ideally have good experience of import procedures and paperwork (European and International). Experience in Horticulture would be an advantage, but in reality, with the right procurement experience, the right attitude is far more important. You will have good time management and prioritisation skills.
