Due to the continued expansion of the Council’s Parks, Open Spaces and Leisure department, we are looking for an experienced manager to oversee the delivery of our ground’s maintenance operations.

The department operates a successful in-house service, responsible for the maintenance of all the boroughs green spaces. With a new Blue and Green strategy, an ambitious action plan and the increasing use and importance of our spaces, it is an exciting time to be become part of our team.

The role

The role holds responsibility for the operational delivery for Parks and Housing / Highway grounds services within the department, an area of more than 900 hectares and 130 Parks / Open spaces.

Leading these services, you will be responsible for high standard service delivery, while at the same time identifying opportunities for service improvement and efficiencies. Continual development of our team is key to our success and your role will assist in the delivery of this.

You will join a positive and forward-thinking management team and front-line workforce, supported further through our strong relationships within the community and stakeholder groups.

The post holder must hold a current, valid driving licence up to and including 3.5 tonne (category B1).
