About the Company:-
We have been exclusively retained by a business who are the leader in their field. Part of an international group of businesses, they are the flagship company for the group and have lead the way with system and process improvements, ensuring they are set up in a way to deliver the best possible results to their customers. They are a vertically integrated, Creative, Design and Print business who provide the Horticulture industry with a full range of Creative and Print services.

About the Role:-
Due to a long standing member of their team taking a sideways step in the business, they have a requirement to bring in an experienced Operations Manager to help them manage a number of key teams in the business, enabling them to work as effectively and efficiently as possible. You will be responsible for the teams involved in Projects (Customer Service), Creative, Design and Content. Your role will also include a lot of project management and continuous improvement (from a processes point of view). The culture of the business has been a critical factor in its success. Everyone knows what is expected of them and they feel empowered and supported to achieve the success they have become accustomed to. You will be a crucial part in maintaining this.

The Ideal Person:-
Industry knowledge is a secondary requirement for this role. More important, is the ability (and past experience) to manage diverse teams across a range of functions. You will know how to get the best out of people and foster this environment throughout. Understanding Lean and Project Management principles would be a significant advantage. The team are always looking to keep their edge and continuously improving their processes can be the difference between 1st or 2nd place. If you had a working knowledge of supermarkets or multi chain retailers, this would again be an advantage, but is not critical
