About the Client

Our Client is a brand-new garden centre, farm shop and café which opened early in 2021. They run a multifunctioning space where their vision is to create a community-embedded space that connects the local community, build a local food network with local farmers and fill homes with fresh local products including plants and food products. They are looking for a sociable, confident, and reliable individual to join the garden centre team to help the business grow and develop.

About the Role

As Planteria Supervisor you will be expected to lead and oversee the plant area whilst managing a team of staff to ensure all areas are maintained to the highest standard. Reporting to the MD, the Planteria Supervisor is responsible for the Planteria area, including designated buying to set parameters, the merchandising and maintenance of outdoor plants, and customer service. This role links to a Plant-Based café that draws in customers from all over the UK so being able to add value to products is critically important.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this position you will need a strong understanding and knowledge of the plant area and good horticulture experience. You will also ideally have worked with suppliers and have been involved in the buying aspects of the business. Having strong communication skills with an approachable personality is a must as you will be the face of the plant area.
