Full-time permanent position for an experienced gardener to manage a beautiful private garden in Hampstead, Greater London, of historical importance. The diverse 1-acre garden consists of a rose garden and climbing roses, wisteria, yew hedges, mixed beds, herbaceous borders and shrubs, mature trees, a kitchen garden with raised beds and a greenhouse, lawn, tennis courts, pond with a water feature and a pergola / trellis walkway. 

The successful applicant should be able to assist with handyman tasks around the garden (managing the pond, watering system etc)

The skilled gardener will have a true passion for plants and gardening, a positive attitude and have the determination and drive to work autonomously. They will have a vision for maintaining and enhancing the garden as required and is someone who takes pride in their work.

The successful candidate will ideally hold a minimum level 2 horticultural qualification combined with excellent plant knowledge, excellent technical skills and a minimum of 5 years previous experience working on private estates. PA1/PA6 spray certificates would be an advantage as well as the ability to operate and maintain a range of garden machinery.  

A one-bedroom charming accommodation, offsite but next to the property, is provided for the successful candidate. The accommodation is suitable for single occupancy;  council tax and water and electricity bills will be covered by the employers. Ready to start.
