About Our Client
This family-run business is a long-established grower of an extensive range of premium trees, shrubs, climbers, herbaceous perennials and soft fruit, growing in frost-protected glasshouses, polytunnels and outdoor facilities. They supply garden centre retailers throughout the UK.
They are now looking for a General Manager to support their operations.

About the Role
This exciting, wide-ranging General Manager role will see you involved in all aspects of the business. Working closely with the Head of Horticulture you will support the production and despatch teams and will be responsible for ensuring they have the resources to fulfil the business needs. The role includes responsibility for compliance and health & safety within the business, for recruitment of seasonal employees/agency workers and for maintaining a clean, tidy and bio-secure nursery.

The Ideal Candidate
This role is ideal for someone with managerial experience in horticulture, but a background in ornamentals would not be essential. Excellent communication and leadership skills are key.
