About the Client

This successful group of Garden Centres is looking for a Horticulture Manager to join one of their growing and progressive sites. A major presence in the south of the country they are an exciting company with growth plans.

About the Role

As horticulture manager you will be expected to lead and oversee the plant area whilst managing a team of staff to ensure all areas are maintained, cared for and lead to sales. You will be expected to deliver advice and guidance to customers, using your knowledge to help assist them. The role will also involve overseeing other parts of the garden centre, so a good retail knowledge is important.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this position you will need prior experience of management within the garden retail industry, with a strong understanding and knowledge of the plant area and good horticulture experience. You will also ideally have worked with suppliers and have been involved in the buying aspects of the business too. A strong communicator with an engaging, approachable personality is a must as you will be the face of the plant area.
