Medway Norse is one of the biggest joint ventures within Norse Group, partnering with Medway Council to deliver a growing number of frontline public services to residents. The business portfolio is including to develop as further services are provided across waste, building maintenance and countryside management.

As we continue to provide support to the local community, we are looking to recruit 2 Park Rangers to work at Capstone Country Park in Gillingham, Kent. In this role, you will be part of a frontline facing team responsible for ensuring the parks and their public areas are maintained, supporting and supervising special events.

Alongside park maintenance, you will be engaging with both the local community and a range of colleagues, resolving health and safety and cleanliness issues whilst maintaining the local green spaces. You will help manage and supervise the activities of contractors on site, and actively promote Medway's parks and open spaces.

Shifts

WK1 - Mon/Tues/Weds/Thurs/Sat/Sun. WK2 - Tues/Weds/Thurs/Fri - 37hours per week.

Our Successful Candidate; 

You will be expected to bring a combination of knowledge, experience and personal aptitude to the role, highlighted by; 

  • A professional qualification in countryside management (or similar subject), or demonstrable relevant experience 
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and health & safety guidelines, including environmental management 
  • Experience leading, managing and supervising activities and events 
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable and confident when dealing with members of the public 
  • Able to work effectively both as an individual and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
