Job role:
As Rural Estate Warden, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the rural estate resources at Merrist Wood college, from fencing, gates, rights of way, grassland, grazing, hedgerows, watercourses, and woodlands. You will also work with and oversee contractors carrying out hay making, hedge cutting and ditch works.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
Applicants for this role will have a relevant vocational qualification at Level 3 or above, along with PA1 and PA6 Safe Use of Pesticides. You will have proven experience in the use of a wide range of specialist equipment and machinery relevant to the role with a minimum of 5 years industry experience. In addition, you will have excellent organisational skills and an ability to work with others on site as well as external contractors.
A full driving licence and tractor driving certification is essential.
