Grower Supervisor | Nr Preston
We are on the lookout for a strong Grower Supervisor to join a nursery in Lancashire. Are you ready for a new challenge?
About our Client
Growing on over 25 acres of glasshouse and polytunnels, our client is an established producer of pot and pack bedding. They supply a range of independent and group garden centres and pride themselves on growing quality stock.
About The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the plants are grown to the highest quality. You will be running a small team of staff, supporting them, and making sure everyone is working efficiently. Crop walking, irrigation, and monitoring for pests and diseases will also fall into your remit.
The Ideal Candidate
This role is great for someone who has previous experience in a commercial growing environment and is ready to take a step up. You will have a passion for growing high-quality plants and be keen to pass this knowledge on to the people around you. A qualification in horticulture is ideal, along with PA1 and PA6.
