The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is recruiting a Gardens Team Leader to work across the Shakespeare family homes.
Through horticultural excellence, staff, student and volunteer supervision, you will continue to develop these national and internationally recognised gardens. This will include developing and managing the gardens to contribute to a world class visitor experience, to engage with our supporters and stake holders whilst contributing to organisation wide activities that educate and inspire our visitors, in their interest in Shakespeare, Tudor life, gardens and horticulture.
To be successful in this role you will have horticulture qualifications and experience of working in gardens that are open to the public. You will have a good knowledge of plant species and their husbandry, garden design, horticultural methods and practices, fertiliser applications and Health and Safety best practice.
You will be used to leading a team of staff and volunteers that are spread across multiple sites, be able to develop strong working relationships across a variety of departments.
The post holder may be required to work at weekends and bank holidays. There may also be a need to work evenings when there are special events.
