We are working with a successful and well-established garden centre that has been running for over 50 years, who are now looking for an Assistant Garden Centre Manager to join their team.

About our Client

The company are a busy garden centre situated on the outskirts of Leeds and pride themselves on providing expert knowledge to their customers. Equipped with a strong plant area, farm shop and catering areas, this garden centre is not one to miss.

About the Role

In this role, you will support the day-to-day running of the garden centre. You will have a passion for retail and be excited to support customers and motivate colleagues. You will be able to work with the section managers to deliver results, whilst also ensure back of house, goods-in, and H&S are all considered. You will be hands-on and be able to lead by example offering a service that goes the extra mile.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in retail and be looking for a new challenge. You will ideally have knowledge of horticulture and a desire to continue learning. You will be able to lead and motivate a team to deliver exceptional service levels. You will ensure that the products are presented and merchandised in a fashion that is in keeping with the rest of the centre and is always visually appealing. Being hands-on will not be a problem for you, and you will be happy to chip in when required.
