Salary ~£45-55k
Are you an experienced buying and supply chain professional that has experience in plants? Do you have relationships with UK commercial growers? Are you able to work at a real pace, deliver results and able to adapt and work under pressure? If so, we'd like to hear from you.

About Our Client
Our client is a leading supplier into the garden and leisure industry who have seen rapid expansion in recent years. They have a real passion for what they do to deliver the best possible range of products, at affordable prices, with great customer service. They import many of their products from China and the Far East and work closely with suppliers there to develop new product ranges and ensure the best possible quality. They are constantly innovating and have moved their great service and offering to include plants. They guarantee all of their products and back their own brands to compete with any others on quality and value for money.

About the Role
This role will lead part of the buying team within the business. You will be given a range of plant products to look after and buy for. You will be able to drive commercial results and savings, whilst building close relationships with suppliers and growers. You will utilise your experience in buying quality plants to deliver the correct products for the right price. You will be able to do this without sacrificing quality. You will be able to identify gaps in the range and utilise your knowledge of what sells to drive commercial performance. Experience in an online environment would be considered advantageous.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a proven buyer with plant and eCommerce experience as well as buying from the UK growers. You will be an effective buyer and understand buying plant products from different UK/European sources. You will know what good buying looks like and how to achieve this. You will be able to show your experience and track record of delivering savings and commercial results. You will be able to show your experience in eCommerce and track record of delivering sales. First and foremost, this is a commercial buying role, so you will need to show commerciality and be a strong negotiator and understand what appeals to customers.

Minimum Requirements
This is a very complex and niche role that is operating in a very fast-paced environment. As such, at a minimum, you will need experience in buying plants. You will also need to show experience in building a range of products that focuses on delivering sales.
