Do you have a good sense of humour, strong work ethic and have no issues getting wet, hot or filthy?

Do you love plants and trees and interested in building a career in the ultimate green business?

If so, we are looking for a new Field Team Leader to join our happy band of horticultural staff. 

You must have a proven track record of managing, motivating and leading a team of 10-20 people, preferably in an outdoor setting.

Plant knowledge would be a big help but is not essential.

You must have a great positive, never say die attitude, with a professional and flexible approach with an attention to detail and quality of work

Initially this will be a supervisor role reporting directly to the Production Director, but over the next few years will grow into a more senior role as the Production Director steps back.

Key Responsibilities:

• Distribution of tasks and motivation of outdoor teams

• Maintaining/improving quality standards

• Liaison with management team and nursery office

• Commitment to customer requirements

Key Skills/Experience:

• Consistent, accurate working

• Ability to work well under pressure

• Good communication skills including with overseas staff

• IT skills including spreadsheet manipulation, email etc.

What's on offer...

Role will typically require 40 hours pw, Monday to Friday. Seasonal overtime will be required at various key periods of the year. Initial rate of pay £11 to £15 per hour (£25-30k) depending on experience and skill set

We are a long-established friendly family business, supplying first class trees and soft fruit bushes to nurseries, garden centres, high street retailers and more recently to mail order and internet businesses nationwide. Based just outside Bishops Waltham, Hampshire we supply all our customers with plants grown and packed to meet their individual requirements.  We have a current turnover of £2.5m and plans to make it to £4m next year so come and be part of our growing business.
