An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Gardener to join our garden team. This is a key role in supporting the team to conserve, preserve and enhance all the outdoor spaces belonging to the newly formed Royal Pavilion & Museums Trust (RPMT). The Royal Pavilion garden is the only surviving Regency era garden in the country, while the gardens at Preston Manor are comprised of formal gardens including a listed Walled Garden.
We are looking for someone who will assist in making sure that the gardens and outdoor spaces are maintained to a high standard. The postholder will be assisting with general maintenance of the gardens, such as mowing, pruning and weeding as well as assisting with the planting and maintenance of herbaceous plants and shrubs.
The Gardener will work alongside and provide advice to garden volunteers and apprentices. This is a public facing role and the post holder will be expected to interact with the public, answering questions or helping with garden tours when needed.
