Gardener

Gardener required to work as part of a team in a large organic garden in the Cotswolds.

The 40 acre garden consists of formal areas kept to a high standard with a south terrace parterre, clipped topiary and a formal pool garden, surrounded by wild flower meadows and lakes.

Other areas of the garden include a woodland garden with many choice perennials, trees and shrubs, a walled garden for the production of organic fruit and vegetables, rose garden, herbaceous borders, cut flower garden, orchard and a number of greenhouses.

We are a private estate and the garden is not open to the public.  Estate gardening duties such as looking after chickens and helping with events will be part of the job.

The main role will be varied and may include working in all of the above areas of the garden depending on the successful candidate's strengths and interests.

We would welcome applications from both experienced gardeners and candidates just starting their career in horticulture.

Ideal candidates will above all else will be highly motivated, a team player, with a strong work ethic and have a genuine interest in horticulture.

29 days holiday, including bank holidays.

Weekend rota currently 1 in 5 weekends, with Monday-Tuesday given as days in lieu.
