Salary ~£28-32k DOE
Are you an experienced garden retail professional with a background in horticulture? Are you able to offer customers fantastic service? If so, we want to hear from you.

About Our Client
Our client is a leading garden centre with a reputation for excellence and a foundation in horticulture. They are focused on the service and products that they offer to ensure the best possible customer experience. Their resources and systems offer a great amount of support to their centre managers and staff. They offer quality plants and products to their customers and have a wealth of knowledge to help their customers in making their purchases. The business is focused on the performance of the team and business as a whole.

About the Role
This role is all about delivering the best service to customers in the plant and horticulture area of the garden centre. You will utilise your plant and horti knowledge to guide customers through their buying experience, offering expert advice wherever required. You will help deliver sales and commercial results in the process and keep customers coming back for repeat business. You will help lead and manage the outdoor team to present plants and associated products in the best possible way through effective displays and merchandising. Your friendly and approachable manner will lend itself to customer service and delivering the best possible customer experience.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will come from a plants and horticulture focused role within the garden centre sector. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to lead customers to products that are most appropriate for their requirements and increase add-on sales. You will have strong plant and gardening knowledge, whilst also possessing excellent retailing skills. You will be able to lead and manage a team within the outdoor area to deliver exceptional customer service and commercial results. You will be able to work with the wider business to help identify any areas of improvement or gaps in the current range to maximise commercial performance. Your background will show that you're willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in where required to deliver excellent customer experience, from creating new displays and merchandising, to managing stock and crops and keeping the garden centre as pristine as possible.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have experience in the horticulture industry/sector with good plant knowledge as well as customer-facing experience where you have delivered excellent service.
