Exterior Maintenance - Team Leader

Based in Canary Wharf for more than 30 years, Plantforce is a well-established, busy, friendly and successful landscaping company providing corporate clients with high quality interior and exterior landscaping.  We are now seeking an Exterior Maintenance Team Leader to work in our expanding exterior maintenance department.  The successful candidate will be responsible for exterior corporate contracts in locations throughout Greater London managing quality and consistency of product and service delivery for existing clients and new projects. This vacancy would suit someone who has horticultural qualifications and experience of landscaping/gardening with excellent plant knowledge and garden design skills especially in seasonal bedding, container provision, living walls and general landscaping and is comfortable and experienced with managing a team. Knowledge and experience of working in hard landscaping would be an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Have a well organised approach to all aspects of your work with attention to detail
• Being able to use your initiative
• Being able to manage a team of technicians including training
• Be responsible for all aspects of Health and Safety
• Client site visits and consultation
• Garden/project design and seasonal planting schemes
• Maintain good relations with clients on site, team members and other colleagues
• Resolve disputes if they arise
• Buying materials and project management
• Identifying areas of improvement

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

• Ability to create planting schemes
• Ability to manage a team
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage/plan workloads
• Horticultural qualifications and experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commercial awareness
• Good IT skills
• Be willing to be flexible
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety issues
• Full & Clean UK Driving License

Salary from: £26K to £28K doe

Hours: 40 Monday to Friday with some overtime
