Our client, a Cambridge College, is looking to appoint a new gardener, to join the college gardens team on a full-time basis.

Gardener
Salary: £18,525 - £20,171 per annum (depending on skills, knowledge and experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (exclusive of meal breaks)
Contract Type: Permanent, subject to six months’ probation.

The successful applicant will report to the Head Gardener and will be responsible for the continued upkeep of the gardens, greenhouse production and helping with the ongoing design work and regeneration of the grounds.

The successful applicant will possess a broad plant knowledge, a recognised horticultural qualification and will have prior experience of working with a wide range of horticultural machinery. Applicants must be able to demonstrate good team working skills, organisation skills, as well as a good understanding of health and safety and the benefits of plants on the college and its users. PA1 and PA6A spraying certificates are desirable.
