Gardener/Grounds Person

Salary: £18,051 - £18,871.50 depending on skills and experience

Oxford High School are looking for a Gardener/Grounds Person to join our busy Premises Team.

Your duties will include maintaining sports pitches, ensuring they are marked, set up for matches, cleared from litter, grass is cut and all posts are painted accordingly, as well as basic caretaking/manual handling skills along with a valid driving licence to travel between sites.

The ideal candidate will be honest, conscientious, reliable, flexible and self-motivated. You must also possess good communication skills. Excellent practical skills and experience of grounds and property maintenance are essential. Experience of using and maintaining a large variety of gardening tools, maintenance tools and light/heavy machinery would be an advantage.

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday however a degree of flexibility is required as occasional weekend and overtime work will be necessary to accommodate the busy school calendar.

Oxford High School is based on three sites, all within walking distance of each other, Belbroughton Road, Woodstock Road and Bardwell Road. Along with the rest of the Premises Team you will be required to work across all three sites.
