General Maintenance Manager

An exciting new opportunity has opened for a highly organised individual with several years’ experience in garden maintenance to join our expanding department. Cameron Gardens, based in Notting Hill, is an award-winning, results driven garden design, build and maintenance company established over 25 years ago. 

We are looking for an ambitious individual who will work alongside another General Maintenance Manager to help establish a maintenance department known for its professional and responsive client experience as well as its creative planting design.

The candidate will need extensive experience in this sector and be a team player with a willingness and ability to work alone. They will need excellent communication and people skills, a keen attention to detail and will need to be self-motivated.  This exciting hands-on and office-based role, will report directly to senior management, offers the opportunity to work in some top end domestic and commercial sites. 

The candidate will have in depth maintenance knowledge to quote effectively. This is a very exciting opportunity for someone with a proven track record to work within an expanding company of dedicated, industry leading garden specialists. A full driving license is also a necessity. 

Role:

-Meeting potential and existing clients for garden installations e.g fencing, trellising, wiring, irrigation, planting and window boxes, astroturf etc.

-Producing quotes for installation and soft landscaping work.

-Meeting potential clients for garden maintenance and winning and issuing garden maintenance contracts.

-Liaising with in house teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to discuss current projects and ensure a seamless delivery on service and product.

-Developing supplier relationships to ensure the most cost-effective materials are sourced.

-Help develop a Training and Development programme for the maintenance and installation department.

-Working with the foreman to ensure all work is carried out safely and to a high standard and quality.

-Communicating with clients and dealing with any queries

-Support Maintenance managers in delivering monthly maintenance objectives including feeding programmes, pest and disease control, pruning management, irrigation management and highlighting gardens that need ongoing improvement (seasonal)

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Managing people
  • Confidence and knowledge to win work
  • Experience in working within budgets and timescales.
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask
  • Solid administrative skills in both Microsoft and Excel
  • Strong inter-personal skills.
  • Driving license
  • Ability to live and work in the UK
  • Good level of spoken English
