If you answer yes to these questions then at Solihull, we may just have the job for you! We have a new and exciting opportunity for an arboriculturalist to join our Planning Service.

We are currently negotiating the complexities of delivering a revised Local Plan and also working hard to deliver our climate change agenda, which includes an ambitious tree planting programme, carbon reduction measures and air quality improvements. Our growth agenda will ensure we are maintaining our historic and natural landscape, and delivering the design quality, community benefits and green and blue infrastructure that only the best development in the right locations can achieve.

With such a big agenda, we are after the brightest and best talent; commercially minded and emotionally intelligent.  We are looking for candidates with experience and in-depth knowledge of how trees can add quality to modern developments, and provide vital benefits to existing streets, parks, gardens, public realm and our historic environments.

You will need:

• A minimum of a National Diploma (NDip) in Arboriculture or equivalent qualification.
• Detailed knowledge of current Forestry working practices
• Specialist knowledge of Arboriculture techniques
• Ability to produce accurate, high quality work under pressure

You’re going to need to be engaging, confident and passionate with a can do approach to your area of expertise to help us rise to the challenge.
