The Gardens at Eltham Palace are brimming with historic character and exciting horticultural opportunities, and offers a remarkable setting in which to take the next step in your career.
Working closely with our Head Gardener, you'll be playing a vital role in ensuring that all work carried out in our gardens by our fantastic teams of Horticulturists and Gardens Volunteers is to the highest possible standards. And you'll find imaginative ways of bringing to life the stories that our gardens tell, helping visitors of all ages to make new discoveries.
We're looking for a motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and high-quality garden experience and the specialist skills required for this particular site; excellent plant knowledge and horticultural skills; and a talent for leadership. Personal qualities include a 'can do attitude' and the ability to work flexibly in line with the needs of the site. You'll know how to ensure visitors enjoy their day out - from sharing your horticultural knowledge, to ensuring their health and safety. Being able to ensure smooth running of weekly job rotas and input into the seasonal work plans are also a must for this busy and dynamic role.
