Skilled Gardener/Horticulturalist

We are looking for a skilled full-time gardener to join us at Castle Kennedy Gardens, a prestigious large landscaped historic garden, with Champion trees, shrubs, rhododendrons, herbaceous borders and walled gardens.  

The job will entail working as part of a small team under the Head Gardener.  The ideal candidate will have formal horticultural qualifications and a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified, employed gardener. 

We are looking for a keen horticulturalist with a comprehensive plant knowledge and a keen interest in gardens and historic landscapes.  Specialist knowledge and appreciation of rhododendrons and azeleas will be an advantage.

We would like to find someone who is  well motivated, has an eye for detail, a desire for high standards and with a positive, enthusiastic, pro-active and can-do approach to work. 

Use of machinery will be required and possession of Pesticide/Chainsaw certificates is preferred, although training can be provided. The role is physically demanding and requires good health and fitness levels.
