Job Details
Our client is a design and build company are looking for a Landscape Site Supervisor to join their expanding Team.
Although they are a relatively new company their ethos and mission is to provide the best possible design and care from conception to completion with includes landscape architecture, construction and maintenance.
Duties
- Proficiency requirement:
- Demonstrate proficiency in a broad range of disciplines relating to hard and soft landscaping.
- Assist and report to the Project / Contract Manager in the execution of the works on site.
- Based on site, form a link to the project manager and be responsible for the day to day running of the project.
- Supervise and liaise with sub‐contractors on site and supervise their works through to effective completion.
- Be responsible for the day to day implementation of health and safety policy and manage the safe working environment of
- colleagues by working with the client, employer, and senior staff.
- Be responsible for the effective day to day management of the company environmental policy and waste management
- policy by working with the employer, and senior staff to ensure compliance with the same procedures.
- Report to Project Managers on the progress of works and plan works to meet programmes.
- Manage the day to day collection of delivery notes and collate to office files. Check and approve quantities against delivery
- sheets.
- Complete daily diaries and collate to files
- Conduct toolbox talks to all staff and induct staff onto site.
- Ensure that the project works are clean, protected and ensure that there is no damage to site works by others.
- Oversee co‐ordination between other trades on site on a day to day basis.
- Demonstrate objectivity under pressure and an ability to solve problems.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills necessary to manage multiple operatives on site.
- Form a liaison between the employer, senior staff and other employees.
- Have a good all‐round understanding of engineering principles necessary for the high‐quality execution of the works with
- minimum risk to the future longevity of the works.
- Be respectful and courteous to work colleagues and clients.
- Be punctual and arrive at work ready for work.
- Display a determination to develop their personal and professional skills for the benefit of the company.
- Be capable of supervising high specification projects and execute works to the required tolerances in a day to day basis.
- Supervise the setting out of works from plans.
- Have an in‐depth working knowledge of hard and soft landscaping and be prepared to undergo in house and external
- training to delivery projects of the highest standards.
- Be responsible for meeting their own works programme and determining action plans to meet those targets.
- Demonstrate effective supervision of a team.
- Responsible for managing sub‐contractors
